The football team of our village, with the name
“Arkadi AthleticClub of Angeliana” was founded in 1962.
It is no coincidence for the name or the badge of the team, which reflects the homonymous monastery; It is a minimum tribute to the monastery of Arkadi, which granted the community of our village the plot for this purpose, so that today the team can have its natural headquarters.
The performances of our team are also worth mentioning. In particular, it has won the Third Division Championship of Rethymnon in 1977, as well as 4 Championships in the B Division in 1974, 1979, 1993 and 2006.
Today it plays in the B Division and our academies list 40 children aged 6-14 who participate in the respective championship.
